About Our Studio

We are the music makers.

Our studio is located in the artistic and vibrant community of Rockport, MA. With the hopes of making music accessible to all, we are dedicated to making our space as student-friendly and creative as possible. Our space features a large group room including a baby grand piano, three teaching rooms, including a recording studio set up, and a waiting area for students and families. With the hopes of inspiring our music makers to try new musical outlets, we have an instrument library where students can check out instruments, including keyboards, acoustic/ electric guitars, microphones, drums, and more, to borrow.

About Our Instructors

Alexandra Grace

Owner & Instructor

Alexandra Grace is a singer-songwriter, artist, and educator from Gloucester, MA. She is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where she earned her B.M. in Songwriting & Performance with a minor in Psychology. She started her studio in September 2021 with the hopes of bringing young musicians together again after a long pandemic apart. Since then, she and her students have performed at many venues, including selling out the Shalin Liu Performance Center, recorded original songs and music videos, adventured on musical journeys and learning endeavors, and planted the seeds to lifelong musical connections and friendships. She hopes that the studio will be a meeting place for creatives to come together and make music, be themselves, and feel confident in expressing themselves through the art of sound.

Alexandra is a trained instrumentalist, with 20 years of practice on the piano and 10 years on the guitar. Her primary instrument is voice. Through her Berklee education, as well as studying one-on-one under opera singers and a broadway actress, she strives to be a well rounded singer and is trained in pop, jazz, musical theater, classical, and rock vocals.

As the conductor for the 50-piece Waring School choir and the 2023-2024 Shalin Liu teaching artist for 'Writing Our Musical History', Alexandra enjoys leading groups in music making. She currently offers 3 singing groups, and plans on adding more in the coming year. She believes making music as a community to be one of the most important aspects of being a musician.

As a songwriter, Alexandra has released 2 EPs and has an album in the works. In 2021, she won an award from the 'John Lennon Songwriting Competition' and another from the 'International Songwriting Competition'. She studied under Grammy award winning songwriter Paula Cole, as well as Pat Pattison.

When she's not making music, Alexandra love hanging out with her cats Earl & Jasper, participating in anything artistic, going on nature walks, reading, doing yoga, and drinking tea.

Jaden Chris

Jaden Chris is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and educator originally from New Jersey, but now a resident of Gloucester, MA. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where he earned his B.M. in Professional Music, with concentrations in Guitar Performance and Jazz Composition. He started teaching in 2018 while still at Berklee with the hopes of making music more accessible to all. Aiming to inspire each of his students to create the kind of music they love, he tailors his curriculum for each student to fit their learning needs, goals, and musical passions. He believes that everyone has the ability to be good at making music if they take the time to nurture it.

Jaden is a multi-instrumentalist with many years of training on guitar, bass, drums, piano, and more. He also enjoys composing and producing music, and has arranged songs for artists ranging from 20 piece jazz ensembles to independent rappers or pop singers. Jaden integrates music technology and engineering into his lessons, giving students the opportunity to learn on state of the art music software.

While at Berklee, Jaden served as a Resident Assistant for Berklee's main dorm building, 160 Mass. Ave. It was here he discovered his love for being a part of a musical community, including organizing concerts and events for student education and enjoyment. Since collaborating with Alexandra, he has been a big help in planning, organizing, and executing concerts and events for students. He hopes to organize more opportunities for students in the future, including a music summer camp and band program.

When Jaden isn't practicing an instrument, teaching, or producing music, he enjoys hanging out with his cats Earl & Jasper, computer programming, reading, studying the arts and cinematography, collecting records, playing video games and going to the gym.
